Cluster Pendant Lighting: Many Lights, One Statement
A cluster pendant gathers several lights under one canopy, so you get the presence of a chandelier with the flexibility of individual pendants. Hung at matching heights, the lights read as a single unit. Staggered, they read as a sculpture. The pendants below range from glass bubbles and opal spheres to slim modern tubes and staggered drops in shell, steel, and leather.
Glass Globe & Bubble Configurations
Rounded forms are the most forgiving cluster shape. Spheres overlap gently from every angle, and the glow spreads in all directions instead of pooling in one spot.
- Burst LED Pendant Light by ET2 Lighting: Glass bubbles burst outward from a central point in a playful but polished cluster. Choose 4, 9, 12, or 20 lights, from 17" to 35.25" across, with Black, Gold, or Satin Nickel frames and Clear, Graduating Smoke, Multicolor, or Translucent Frost glass. Each bubble holds an included G4 LED at 90 CRI and 3000K. Mood: champagne, frozen mid-pour.
- Sorelle Multi Light Pendant Light by Visual Comfort Studio: Richard June's new 2026 design suspends nine opal glass spheres beneath a broad circular canopy, each at a different height and distance from the center. Made in Germany with a 3-year warranty and Title 24 compliance. Choose Bronze, Copper, Gold, Silver, Smoke, Opal/Gold, or Opal/Silver. Mood: molten metal, times three.
Sleek Minimalist Cylinders
Slim, vertical shapes keep a cluster from feeling heavy. These designs work well over kitchen islands, in corners, and anywhere you want a strong vertical line without a lot of visual bulk.
- Rosemont LED Pendant Light by AFX Lighting: Slim rods hang at graduated lengths like wind chimes, each lined with a soft diffuser. Choose a Small (12.5" tall) or Large (24.25" tall) in Black, Satin Brass, or Satin Nickel, both 8.25" across. Integrated LEDs produce 800 or 1,700 lumens at 90 CRI and 3000K. Staggered Drop Pendants
Staggered heights turn a cluster into a sculpture. As you move around the room, the shapes overlap and separate, giving the fixture a sense of movement.

Frequently Asked Questions
How high should a cluster pendant hang over a table?
Hang the lowest light 30" to 34" above the tabletop. That keeps the light close enough to feel intimate without blocking sightlines across the table. On taller ceilings, you can raise the whole cluster slightly so it stays in proportion with the room.
Should I choose a cluster pendant or separate pendants?
A cluster needs only one electrical box and one canopy, which makes installation simpler and works well over round tables, entries, and corners. Separate pendants spread light more evenly along a long island or rectangular table. If you want a single focal point, choose a cluster. If you need even light along a long surface, choose separate pendants.
Can I adjust the heights of the lights in a cluster?
On many clusters, yes. Each light hangs from its own cord, so you can set them level, stagger them, or create a spiral. Check the product details for the maximum overall height, and do the adjusting during installation, since changing heights later usually means taking the fixture down.
