Collection: IP44.DE

Founded on a simple yet profound question – why can't outdoor luminaires be as aesthetically pleasing as their indoor counterparts? – IP44.DE emerged more than 25 years ago with an answer that resonated with architects and building owners alike. Bernd Schmalhorst established the company, emphasizing a deep commitment to superior design quality and the belief that every place, be it indoors or outdoors, deserves exceptional light. The company's moniker, "IP44", represents an industrial standard indicating a luminaire's robustness and suitability for outdoor use. True to its German roots, IP44.DE incorporates durability, aesthetic finishes, and state-of-the-art LED technology into its designs. While they started with resources in-house, collaboration with seasoned luminaire designers led to numerous accolades. Despite being exposed to the challenges of outdoor elements, IP44.DE's luminaires combine extraordinary aesthetics with perfect functionality. As they look back on their journey, there's a strong sentiment of continued evolution; the story of IP44.DE is far from over. The underlying mission remains clear: every space truly deserves great light.
