Venezuelan-born industrial designer Pablo Pardo has built a distinguished career crafting contemporary, minimalist, and functional lighting that enhances the relationship between people and their surroundings. His design philosophy focuses on uncovering the core essence of an idea while prioritizing user experience, resulting in universally appealing objects. Since founding Pablo Designs in San Francisco in 1993, his studio has achieved international acclaim for its groundbreaking lighting and home furnishings. Pardo's work has earned numerous prestigious awards, including Best Lighting at NY's International Contemporary Fair ICFF, Best of Competition at Chicago's Neocon Fair, Best of the Year Winner in Interior Design, the Red Dot Award, and the German Design Award, with several pieces featured in the permanent collection of the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art.

Pardo has fostered long-lasting collaborations with designers who share his studio’s vision, believing that diverse perspectives enrich the creative process. His passion for design stems from his upbringing in a family of artists and engineers, blending artistic creativity with technical precision. A 1986 graduate of the University of Cincinnati's renowned industrial design program, Pardo's versatile career ranges from designing children's roller skates for Fisher Price to developing automobile concept designs for Chrysler.
