Tom Dixon crafts visual melodies. A former musician, he now uses light, glass and other materials to produce lighting designs that range, like a good symphony, from delicate to grand, and from soothing to bold. He founded his eponymous London-based company in 2002, having spent the 1980s and 1990s working for other famous international designers and earning several awards for his creations. Tom Dixon launched its Design Research Studio in 2007, seeking innovative ways to make extraordinary spaces for residential, hospitality and commercial spaces. Today, the Tom Dixon company ranks among Britain’s top designers, selling its creations in 90 countries.
