At desk scale, the Demetra LED Table Lamp with Motion Sensor from Artemide uses a long jointed arm to put light where work is happening, whether that is over a keyboard or a page. The small head can move in close for concentrated illumination, then pull back when a broader working area matters more. Its slim structure keeps the center of the desktop open, an advantage around papers or a monitor where bulky lighting quickly becomes intrusive.
